Three years ago, in a smoky back room, we hatched the idea for a Bergstrasse roots-rock-reggae band, and Stir it Up was born. The music we play is a fine mix of things we love, from laid-back acoustic tunes a la Jack Johnson, to pumping Bob Marley rhythms, to punchy New York-style rock. Whether we’re covering a popular song or playing one we wrote, jamming at a party or onstage at a summer music festival, we play it from our hearts. If that sounds like your kind of music scene, come out and join the fun - come to a show and say Hi!
Miles Wroblewski was born in the US, but has lived in Germany for many years, so he’s picked up the best and worst of both worlds. Miles does most of the singing and guitar playing - he plays acoustic and solid-body electric guitars, and a fine Weissenborn-style lap steel, all of it crystalized through a Mesa-Boogie.
Günter Sonnenschein pumps out the basslines, smooth and easy on his fretless acoustic and solid-body instruments, or punching new holes in the floor with the Fender 5-string J-bass.
Tommy Woller can make grooves pop out of anything from a flowerpot to a Djembe, and you can hear his experience, whether he is playing a Cajon at a party or driving a full DW kit on stage.
